The Kano State Private Health Institution Management Agency has successfully concluded the mop-up exercise for the registration of traditional medicine practitioners in the state. This exercise was organized to address complaints from practitioners who were unable to register during the rainy season.
Speaking at the Agency’s Conference Hall during the presentation of reports from local government enumerators, the Director General, Professor Salisu Ahmed Ibrahim, underscored the importance of this initiative in enhancing the quality and regulation of traditional medicine practices across Kano State.
Professor Salisu announced the Agency’s commitment to further supporting the sector by organizing specialized training programs for traditional medicine practitioners.
These programs was aim to enhance practitioners’ knowledge and ensure greater efficiency and safety within the state’s health sector.
The Director General emphasized the Agency’s dedication to fostering a well-regulated health system that integrates traditional medicine while upholding the highest standards of practice for the benefit of the public.
Professor Salisu Ahmed also took the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his magnanimity in approving and financing the exercise. He extended his gratitude to the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, for his support, as well as to the Emirates Council through the (KACCECOH), the elders of traditional healers in the state, and the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) for their cooperation and contributions.
Certificates were also presented to individuals who had previously registered with the Agency.

Madobi Local Government Council chairman Hon Suleiman Dan Azumi has distributed sports kits to football clubs in the area, demonstrating Kano state government commitment to promoting sports development and youth empowerment.
The distribution of sports kits, which includes jerseys, shorts, socks, and footballs, aims to support the growth of football in the local government area.
Chairman Dan Azumi emphasized the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among young people.
He encouraged the football clubs to make the best use of the sports kits and to continue promoting the values of sportsmanship and fair play.
Speaking , the Special Adviser to the executive Chairman on Youths and Sports Hon Suleiman Rabiu Madobi said the distribution of sports kits is a testament to the present Administration’s dedication to investing in the development of young people and promoting a culture of sports and physical activity in the community.
Also speaking, the local government coach Nuhu Dahiru Gora , maintained that this initiatives is part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusif Administration’s efforts in promoting sport as a tool for youth development , social cohesion and community engagement.
The Football clubs that benefited from the gesture are, Kafin Agur Eleven, Kauran Mata FC, Burji FC, Kwankwaso United, Cinkoso United, Gora Dynamic, Madobi Red Lion FC, Kanwa black arrow FC , among others .
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries Captain of Kanwa black Arrow FC Yusha’u Baita, commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusif Administration’s for the kind gesture and promised to use the sport Kits judiciously.
Similarly, Hon Suleiman Dan Azumi received Madobi local government Indigents students whose his Administration’s sponsor them to Aliko Dangote Skills acquisition center to study different skills acquisition at the centre.

In early October 2024, President Bola Tinubu transmitted the Nigeria Tax Bill 2024 to the National Assembly.The bill as claimed by the government is expected to reshape Nigeria’s fiscal framework and establish a comprehensive legal framework governing taxation of incomes, transactions, and instruments.
The bill is entitled, “An Act to Repeal Certain Acts on Taxation and Consolidate the Legal Frameworks Relating to Taxation and Enact the Nigeria Tax Act to Provide for Taxation of Income, Transactions and Instruments, and for Related Matters.” Meaning, that the system will benefit the country in the near future. Like fuel subsidy removal in May 2023 as claimed by the President Bola Tunubu that the system will benefit Nigeria’s economy but rather the system crushes Nigeria’s economic interplay to date.
The most important question one may ask, can we call His Excellency President Bola Tunubu an experienced politician for the past 30 years especially in the global stand? It’s true as mentioned by the global expert in political science, Professor Albena Azmanova that “politics is an elitist game”. But in Nigeria the entire Northern elites criticized the tax reform system and again, the Economic Advisory Body established by the Federal Government as well as the 19 Northern Governors did the same thing but the Federal Government still insisted that there is no going back. Hence, the Federal Government must step back and rethink on the issue. This writing opinionated that the Presidency must act as people want, ASAP.
Since its transmission, the bill has sparked significant controversies and protests among Nigerians. Governors and traditional rulers of Northern Nigerian states unanimously resolved to reject the bill. They said the contents of the proposed tax bill do not align with the interests of the North and other sub-national entities.
There has been no argument from the side of the government that only Lagos, Rivers and Ogun States will benefit from the reform. But why did the Federal Government fail to contradict the Northern elites’ claims constructively for people to understand?
We campaigned for President Ahmed Bola Tunubu to be the President of Nigeria in 2023 to 2027. And we told the nation that President Tunubu will do his best and use his experience to develop Nigeria’s economic growth and development. Meaning that, Nigeria will be out of economic precarity, aridity and hardship before the year 2027.
Unfortunately, 18 months later, stagflation quadrupled after the handover power to H/E Bola Ahmed Tunubu. Not knowing the fact that many economic emerging markets tried the system but failed.
In global Southern hemisphere, many countries like Brazil, South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey and almost all 30 global economic Emerging Nations have had contact with World Bank and IMF for advice; but not to strictly follow their directives on their 10 prescription designed by New York Consultant Professor John Williamson.
Those countries that followed their prescription failed in their countries and lost political popularity. It seems that any leader around the world that agreed to follow their prescription will certainly create inflation, security challenges and economic precarity. The Vice President of the Bank came to Nigeria and claimed that it will take the country 10 to 15 years to normalize the economy. And again, JP Morgan predicted that Nigeria will be among the 5 best economies in the world by the year 2075. Who and who will be there then?
*What is the meaning of political democracy?
The system was created as far back as 508 BC in Athens, the capital of Greece. Since then the system has been on and made several nations developed and prosperous. There have been about 57 key elements and principles of the game. Political strategy is one of the branches of the system (Political science) also, political communication and information are imperative parts of the system. Without communication and information the system will be doomed. It’s imperative for our key political parties to establish political democratic institutions like they did in other democratic societies.
In political strategy subject; politics is a game based on three key elements and principles: 1. Competing values 2. Interests 3. Ambitions.
Also, it is a game between vision and practicality. And again is a game of representation by the various interest groups from different constituents and above all the interest of both internal and external stakeholders.
Meaning, that whatever happens as a result of the current global direction of “Globalization Policy” is the prime mover of the current global political, economic and social activities. Meaning that, the system is a bandwagon for all over the world to follow, especially democratic nations.
In this respect the most important point of any citizen or society in the world is to elect who will represent him in the corridor of power and his representative should do the work of what that society wants. That’s the meaning of democracy; in both advanced and less advanced democracies. Meaning that, the work of the people is to elect their representatives and the work of their representatives is to do what the people want, pure and simple.

Moreover, he is all set to doll out over one thousand motorcycle to the leaders of the party at grassroot level. And to cap it all with over ninety cars to the leaders from 44 local government across the state. A party Chairman and his secretary enjoyed a benevolence and endless goodies in which they were all offered cars to ease the party activities and to be used as source to keep body and soul together. The first of its kind in the history of politics in Nigeria and meant to serve as a wakeup to those elected under the same umbrella.
The story behind this extraordinarily blessed Senator and the circumstances leading to his globally recognized exalted position may sound like fiction, unrealistic imaginations, unexpected and unpredictable, but is indeed for real. His growing popularity, influence, power, rapid acknowledgement and display of political sagacity and mastery of the game is simply amazing, awesome and akin to a fair tail. But one point worthy of note is the fact that his justifiable success in the political arena, couple with huge and astronomical fellowships not mention his unique personality and bold charisma is justifiably tantamount to destiny at work which no mortal can dare alter or reconstruct.
He is a mere mortal but not just an ordinary, but one full of wisdom, intellectual endowment, sagacity, composer, discipline, loyalty, dedication, educational endowment, tireless spirit, political mastery and uncommon zeal craving for opportunity to leave a lasting legacy, which has always be his dream and desire right from childhood, and admiringly the supreme God had bestowed him with all the opportunities.
Placing him in a rightful and influential positions and at the same time provided him with wisdom of making a better use of the revered blessings by exhibiting an astonishing mastery of his assignments with flying colours and still continue creating legacies through his exemplary achievements at his current position as Senator and Deputy Senate President who is displaying mastery of his job, exhibiting a superb intellectual acumen and sagacity to the delight of watching world that includes his colleagues who are daily regarding him with uncommon respect and admiration.
No need to dwell on how he justifiably and miraculously became a Deputy Senate President, undoubtedly one of the most sought after positions in the Apex Chamber of our federation. The drama, turn of events, political shenanigans, maneuvering and sudden God intervention was a well known saga and had been documented for prosperity.
On a political front, the blessed Senator is always at home with nation politicians including his fellows in the state, but admiringly surpassing them in terms of engaging in grassroots politics, endless interactions, delivering dividends of democracy through various capital projects, placing of thousands on Federal governments offer of employment and endless donations of food items, capital empowerments, countless roads constructed, schools constructed , Open University campus in all the local governments in his Senatorial district strict and many more other developmental projects too numerous to mention, not just to the people of his constituency but the entire APC members in the state.
Busy building and renovating hospitals, clinics, mosques, boreholes, crosstown roads, enhancing support by youth participations, curtailing internal party fractions, mediating among warring factions over political issues and in the process helping the party to remains solid, afloat, relevance, effective and strong in his Senatorial District and beyond. A real and professional politician indeed!
There is no gainsaying the fact that in politics, adherents and loyalists to different parties are known to be working for the success of their respected parties during an electoral contests. And any party that emerged victorious especially at State or National level, its faithfuls are naturally expected to be rewarded be it an opportunity for an appointment or constant attending to their needs in terms of financial inducement as that is legally and justifiably what’s refers as a spoil of war.
Moreover, the case of past kano State gubernatorial election that come with its attending intrigues, shenanigans, drama, court case, hope, expectations , unexpected happenstances which was known by all and sundry, comes with its traumatic aftermath especially to the then ruling party. The Court resolved election finally led our party to the losing side after the end of tense court battle. A situation which led to lost opportunity for its teeming party members from top to bottom. It’s teeming members suddenly found themselves in turmoil as they no longer have the mantle of leadership at our disposal.
It’s indeed an irony and highly devastating for the members that was in power and abruptly lose the said status after an election battle. It’s members no longer enjoy the rare privilege of having an established government where their needs are known to be taken care of, not mention the opportunity of been at a centre stage where their individuals and collective whims and caprices are attended at the speed associated with the power of authority and decision making organ.
Apc members in Kano are presently embroidered in such painful and devastating situations that is common with losing party. And it’s also a well known fact, that a tense and deep rooted rivalry is in existence between the members of APC and NNPP adherent who are presently on the mantle of leadership in the state. And true it’s type, the ruling party in the State has expectedly right from the the word go descended heavily on the party leaders and it’s followers. Several court cases are presently trailing the famous Apc leaders with allegations flowing from all angle which are nothing but politically motivated. The newly crowned State Alpha and Omega immediately run hire wire the moment he was sworn in by getting engrossing on a vendetta mission, searching and digging all in a bid to find the fault of the previous government officials, doing it with speed and commitment that has occupied their governance right from inception at the detriment of providing a credible and result oriented leadership
Its then an imperative and a matter of priority and necessity for those opportune to win their seats and those lucky to have gotten Federal government appointment to ensure the party remains afloat and active despites being an opposition in the state. In the process keeps attending to the personal needs of the teeming party members with purpose of easing their pain and continue to hold their loyalty and fellowship intact.
And in Kano, party members are having a jolly good ride due to the constant attending to their needs by the genuine, humanistic, kind-hearted and blessed politician who is daily making waves in such undertaking. No wonder the man opened his doors and created channels of communication and accessibility to the party faithful with sole purpose of engaging them through chain of command where the needs of party adherent is been taking care of with aim of solidifying it’s structures across the state.
It noteworthy to mention here that some few party’s big shots are doing their best in term providing succor to the needs of party members both personal and official, but one can unequivocally say without any iota of doubt Senator Maliya is living in different planet when it comes to such engagement. His position of power didn’t alter his sense of reasoning, sense of responsibility, simpleminded nature and above all, his addiction to given succor to those in need which is simply out of this world.
A curious observer may note that his Abuja Senate office may be mistaking it for being situated in Kano due to the teeming number of people paying visit from the state and beyond which is almost on daily basis. And admiringly, he nurtured accommodating gesture and zeal to serve all, as such he never turn back any one out or hesitate to attend to their needs. A commendable action worthy of emulation. Not mention his foot soldiers and routine of aides that are stationed in his Senatorial District and beyond, which daily are attending to the needs of the people both party members and oppositions alike.
And to the delight of the members of the party and the viewing world, the authentic master of the game is presently executing a political game plan which is dedicated to wrecking the boot and scattering the ruling party presumed strong hold in the state. An operation that is making the said party and it’s hierarchy jittery and devastated. Almost on daily basis, it’s popular members from every nook and crannies of the states are been fished out and made to defect to his party. Many had defected to Apc and are being transformed to been a dedicated members of the party all because of the rare gesture and political mastery of an extraordinary Senator
No wonder the entire party members in the state are daily pouring accolades and commendations to the Senator and daily acknowledging his rare efforts. His classical and resultoriented political moves have indeed rendered many into the cocoon of sadness and envious wound, feeling frightening and visualizing what their political future may hold, going by the raising profile of this enticing Senator whose fellowship is rapidly growing. His personality and amazing acceptance from both the state and beyond is simply scaring the living daylight out of others.
