Iran Attacked Israel: Can that Lead to Regional War in the Middle East Or Third World War?

By Abbati Bako,psc,UK
Political Strategy and Communications Consultant, IPRC—

There is a fear in the world of political, economic and social activities.
Just some hours ago the Iranians’ army launched 200 ballistic Missiles into Israel in retaliation for the killings of Hisbullah leader Hassan Nassurullah in Lebanon  last week. Also, the assisnation of Ismail Haniya in Tehran some weeks ago.

Iran Revolutionary Guards claimed that they successfully reached 90% of its target. But on the other hand, Israel claimed that they don’t have any report of injuries against their people. But Prime Minister Natenyahu said that “Iran made a serious mistake and Israel will respond quickly to the attack by Iran.

On the other hand, Iran said that any response to attack Tehran by Israel or America will result in retaliation to American interest in the Middle East. The Israeli military said that “it will choose when to prove our precise retaliation”.

The Pentagon said that “Israel has the right to depend on themselves”. And the war is ongoing tonight. Where’s the defense system of Israel? It seems that Iran is using a missile that is twice bigger and larger than the last attack by Iran weeks ago.

*Analysis of the situation:

Certainly, the Middle East is in danger and the war can escalate to involve all the 57 Arab and Moslem countries. If that happen
And escalation of the war in the Middle East can change global, political and social issues. America and other European countries have uncountable interest in the region. The US gets most of its oil requirements from the Middle East. The region has 20% of global oil and gas. And if the war escalates in that resourceful region the world will suffer from economic consequences more than the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Israel attacked Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Yemen and Lebanon. Can they extend their attacks on Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other Arabian countries? Subsequently, the world is facing serious problems that have not been seen for decades. Hence, international public policy makers must find ways and means to try and find political solutions to the problems. This writing understands that two states solution can positively change the problem of the Middle East. War in the Mddle East will not be good for the global economic interplay

*The Escalating Conflict:

The Middle East is on high alert, with potential escalation involving 57 Arab and Muslim countries. This could significantly impact global politics, economies, and societies. The region’s strategic importance is underscored by its 20% share of global oil and gas reserves, with the US relying heavily on Middle Eastern oil. In view of the above war the Middle East can negatively change global economic growth and development.

Far-Reaching Consequences:

A regional war would have severe economic repercussions, surpassing those of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Israel’s history of military actions in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, and Lebanon raises concerns about potential expansion into Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and other Arabian countries.

The Need for Diplomacy:

International public policy makers must intervene to prevent catastrophic consequences. Effective strategies for research uptake into policy-making, such as engaging stakeholders and involving them in research design and implementation, can facilitate informed decision-making and resolve the conflicts.

As tensions rise, the world watches anxiously, hoping for a peaceful resolution. Will diplomacy prevail, or will the conflict spiral out of control? Only time will tell.

To be continued, Insha’Allah
