Makoda LG to Boost Health Care Delivery Services

Makoda Local Government has put all hands on deck for the conduct of the up-coming Human Papilloma Virus Vaccine exercise (HPVV).


The Chairman, Makoda Local Government Council, Hon. Mamuda Abdullahi Makoda disclosed this at the sensitization meeting held today at Koguna Model Primary School.


The Chairman who was represented by his deputy, Comrade Yusuf Bala Maitsidau further reiterated the local government council effort to boost healthcare delivery services in the area.


In his remark, the primary health care coordinator Mallam Ahmad Dahiru stated that, the meeting is aimed at sensitizing the stakeholders on the newly introduce up-coming HPV vaccine to be conducted only on girls aged 9 to 14 years old against Cervical Cancer.


Mallam Ahmad said the participants are expected to educate people at their various domain.


In his closing remarks, the Makoda Local Government health educator Mallam Yahaya Ismail solicited usual support and cooperation from the general public for the successful conduct of the exercise.


In attendance are the district head who is represented by Mallam Lawan, Chief Imam Mallam Umar Sa’id, representative of the D.P.O. and other important dignitaries.

Rano Emirate Council Satisfy With Construction of 40 Beds PHC Center

The Emir of Rano Ambassador Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, has described the construction of fourty beds primary health care center by the federal government in Rano town as a welcome development to the people of Rano and it’s environs.
The Emir of Rano Made the disclosure while receiving the New Head of Medical Department in the area Alhaji Ibrahim Shaaibu Ibrahim who visited him at his palace.

The Emir Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa spoke at length on how important the health care delivery services is important to the well-being of the people most especially during the outbreak of disease.


He therefore assured the New Head of the Medical Department department of his full support and cooperation to see that all things were put in place for the benefits of the teeming populace of the Emirate and the State at large.
Earlier speaking, the New Head of Medical Department Alhaji Ibrahim Shaaibu Ibrahim, said they were at the palace to introduce the new head of the department as well as to consult the Emir on the arrangement to commission the newly built 40 beds primary health care center constructed at the Emirate.
According to the head of medical department the center was completed and was with state of the arts medical equipment and was awaiting for commissioning soon.


Alhaji Ibrahim Shaaibu Ibrahim thanked the Emir for sparing his time to recieve him and commended the Emir for the concern shown for the well being his subjects.

Similarly, the Emir has also received the Association of Rano Islamiyya and Allo Schools who were at the palace to register themselves and to seek his permission as they will embark on a yearly maulud rally to Rano town for the commencement of this year’s Maulud celebrations during which they will pray for the country, state and the Emirate in general.


The Chairman of the Association Malam Yusif Rano, used the opportunity to call on all Muslims to give their full cooperation to ensure a huge free rally to mark the Maulud festival successful in the area.


Speaking the Emir Ambassador Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa have assured them of his usual support and assistance and urged them to pray for peaceful coexistence among the people of the state and county in general.

Kano Governor Suspends KASCO’s MD

The Executive Governor of Kano state Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed for immediate suspension of the Managing Director, Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO) Dr. Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir as part of his commitment of fighting corruption.


In a statement signed by chief press secretary to the governor Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said the governor also directed for Swift investigation in to the matter and submission of reports for appropriate actions.



The Governor directed the issuance of suspension in a later dated 12th September, 2023 conveyed by the Secretary to the Kano State Government Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.


Managing Director is suspended for alleged involvement in an inappropriate sale of grains belonging to Kano State Government.


Dr. Dayyabu is directed to handover the affairs of the company to the most senior officer immediately pending the outcome of further investigation.

KNSG To Establishes Forensic Unit To Curtail Land Disputes

Kano state government has approved for the establishment of Forensic unit at the state ministry of land and physical planning to curtail land documents forging.

The state commissioner of land and physical planning, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the zonal command of Economic & Financial Crimes Commission commission (EFCC), Kano zonal command.

The commissioner said they were at the Kano zonal command to cement the existing cordial relationship between the two organisations and to seek for more collaboration and working together.

He further said the present administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif is committed towards fighting against corruption at all costs especially in land sector.

Alh Adamu Kibiya pointed out that since he assumed duty as the commissioner of land and physical planning, he encountered so many challenges which need to be addressed and find lasting solutions.

“As we are all aware, land disputes dominated agencies like ours, most of the cases you are receiving are land related, that is why, we found it necessary to pay you a visit to seek for collaboration and helping hand and through the synergy we can reduce land tussles and bring sanity in land administration in the state”. the commissioner emphasized.

“As a corruption fighting agency, your service is highly needed to handle many and complicated cases and complaint before us. Kano is a mega and fast growing city in Africa, hence the tendency of having land disputes here and there”. he stressed.

According to the commissioner establishing the forensic unit will help the government commitment and zeal of fighting against documents falsification in the ministry of land.

On his part, the acting zonal commandant of EFCC, Kano zonal command, Chinedu Ogbu assured the commissioner of his command’s support to the ministry at all times.

Warawa L.G. Impressed With School Resumption

The turnout of primary school pupils in Warawa local government area has been described as impressive after the schools have resumed for the first term session.

Parents in Bagwai L.G Advises To Ensure Regular Attendance of Their Wards To Sch.

Parents in Bagwai local government area have been advised to ensure regular attendance of their children to primary schools at their respective areas.


The council chairman, Alhaji Inuwa Zangina Ɗangaɗa gave the advice today while shedding light on the primary schools resumption to duty across the area.

Kano MOE suspends two Principals for Absenteeism, Negligence

The State Commissioner for Education Alhaji Umar Haruna has directed for the immediate suspension of two Principals of French Bilingual Collage and Chinese Bilingual Collage Kwankwaso in Madobi Local Government Area for absenteeism and Negligence to duty.

In the same vein, Ministry approves the posting of Umar Akilu Sabo as sit-in Principal French Bilingual Collage and Isyaku Umar Abdullahi as sit-in Principal Chinese Bilingual Collage Kwankwaso respectively.


A Statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru disclosed that the suspended Principals were not in Schools when the team of take-up inspection paid a visit today Monday to monitor the commencement of the 2023/2024 first term School Session.


According to the statement, the inspection team led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Hajiya Kubra Imam discovered that Students of the two Collages were not served food for yesterday night and their breakfast for today was not ready up to the time for the visit.


The Commissioner expressed dismay over what he called unconcerned attitudes shown by the two Principals and therefore directed them to handover the Schools affairs to the new sit-in Principals and report to the ministry pending an investigation.


Emphasizing the need for better education outcomes in the state, Alh. Umar Doguwa warned all School Authorities to shun any act that would undermine the present administration effort in reviving education sector.


Meanwhile, Commissioner Doguwa commended the Principal of Government Girls Collage (WTC) Kano Kofar Famfo and her counterpart of Government Girls Secondary School Kwankwaso for their dedication and compliance to make all the needed arrangements for the commencement of the 2023/2024 Academic Session.



” Students are so impressed for the way they were served food. Their turn out is very commendable and Principals of the two Schools made good effort to make their School environment conductive ” said the Commissioner.

KSCPC Confiscates Drugs and Consumables

Kano State Consumer Protection Council has confiscated Drugs and Consumable products worth millions of Naira within the last three month of the present administration of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.


The State Commissioner of Commerce Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas stated this while inspecting the items at the Council stores.


The Commissioner said the exercise is conducted at various places within the metropolice aimed at minimising the proliferation of fake, expired and damaged products in Kano.


Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas pointed out that the present administration is committed to protect the lives and property of the people through ensuring safe and standard products are brought to the state adding that government would not allowed some people turn the state into dumping ground of expired products.


He assured good people of the state government commitment towards providing enabling environment for conducting business warning that this would not be an excuse of putting the lives and property of the people at risk.


He said within the last three month the council opportune to confiscate the items and called for the general public support and cooperation in providing vital information to the council for its smooth conduct of its operation adding that the council has secured a court order for the destruction of the drugs and other Consumables as part of government activities to mark One Hundred days in office of the present administration of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.


The commissioner adviced people to desist from partronising cheap products which are mainly damage, expire or adultrated inview of its health hazards.


Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas explained that henceforth the council will take decisive measures against those conniving with such people in putting lives of the citizens at risk.

KNSG Receives  Best Award At The Int. Art And Culture Exhibition

Kano State Government has Received the best winner Award on Metal Work Production at the just Concluded International Arts and Crafts Exhibition held at the Zone 4 Continental Hotel Abuja.


In her remarks at the closing ceremony of the exhibition the Commissioner of Tourism and Culture Hajiya Ladidi Ibrahim Garko who described the exhibition as an avenue for exhibiting of arts and culture stressed that, Kano state Government Under the Executive Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir Yusuf will always be committed in promoting Tourism and Culture being the backbone of every society.


The Commissioner show her appreciation and commended the international Arts and Crafts for organizing the exhibition on Networking Arts and crafts in the world.


In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of History and Culture Alhaji Ahmad Abba Kabir said they were at the Exhibition to represent Kano State government and showcase its traditional skills which consisted of traditional dresses, Islamic Calligraphy and Geometry.


The Executive Secretary then commended the state government for all support for the state contingent to participate in the exhibition.


Earlier in his remarks one of the organisers of the exhibition Chief Olusegun Runsewe said “this is the I6th Edition of the International Arts and Crafts Exhibition and was attended by Twenty Nine Countries and Twenty Seven States attended adding that, the exhibition has provide opportunity for the participants to study varieties of arts and culture as well as to attract tourism within the Participating countries”.


Among the dignitaries who attended the occasion includes, the Permanent Secretary of Tourism and Culture Hajiya Aisha Abba Khailani, Ditector Culture Hajiya Binta Sani and the Director of Planning History and Culture Hajiya Aisha Bello.

KNSG Commended For Revitalizing Payment of Pension And Gratuity

Kano State Government has been commended for it’s efforts in revitalizing the payment of pension and gratuity of retiring civil servants in the State.


The Commendation was made by the Chairman Kano State house of Assembly Standing Committee on Pension. Fund Trustees Hon. Alhaji Abdullahi Wudil when members of the Committee paid a Familization visit to Kano State Pension Trust Fund. Executive Chairman . Alhaji Habu Muhammad Fagge.


The Committee Chairman who is also member representing Wudil local Government Constituency expressed delight on the effort made by the present administration under the Executive Governor of Kano State Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for the special regard given to the pensioners in the state as well as prompt payment of monthly pension and gratuity.


The Committee Chairman Hon. Abdullahi Wudil on behalf of other Committee members reaffirmed commitment in providing all necessary support and cooperation to the Pension Trust Fund at all time.


In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Pension Trust Fund . Alhaji Habu Muhammad fagge highlighted on the Achievement recorded under the present administration leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf which includes outstanding payment of pension and gratuity left unpaid by the previous administration.


Alhaji Habu fagge further stressed that, Plan has been completed for the settlement of pension and gratuity within the coming twenty month.


He therefore solicited for the support and cooperation of the house members to give all the necessary support for the successful settlement of all outstanding pension and gratuity to civil servants and pensioners in the State.
