APC Accusation On Diversion of Palliatives Misleading, Politically Motivated, Says Sagagi

Shehu Wada Sagagi
Chief of staff

From Our Correspondent

Shehu Wada Sagagi, the Chief of staff to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has described the accusation level against him by APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbaa on alleged diversion of palliatives as baseless, misleading, and politically motivated.

Sagagi in a signed statement that was made available to newsmen Wednesday in Kano said, the antic deployed by the opposition party in the state was a “desperate attempt to tarnish his image in the eyes of right thinking Nigerians, and a calculated attempt to discredit the NNPP government’s efforts in supporting the people of Kano state.

According to Wada Sagagi, the APC’s claims of palliative diversion and rebranding level against his personality are unfounded and lack concrete evidence, as he pointed that such frivolous ranting are mere allegations designed to score cheap political stunt.

The top flight Kano born politician reiterated, “Let it be on record that my office has never been involved in palliatives distribution and no one has ever allocated the palliatives to me for onward distribution to state, local governments or ward level.

“The NNPP government has been transparent in its distribution of palliatives to the masses, with clear records of beneficiaries and distribution channels, therefore there is no truth to the APC’s claims of diversion or rebranding.” Sagagi clarified.

The soft spoken influential politician stated that APC’s accusations are simply politically inclined, tinted to distracting the public from their own failures while they had eight years tenure in governance, only to shift attention towards the NNPP administration’s successes in less than one year in office.

The signed statement read in parts: “The APC’s claims of palliative diversion are also contradictory, as they have previously praised the NNPP government’s efforts in supporting the people of Kano state.

It added that “The NNPP government has made significant strides in supporting the people of Kano state, from food distribution to infrastructure development, we therefore viwed recent media onslaught as orchestrated attempt to undermine these achievements.

Sagagi stressed that “Our actions are guided by the principles of transparency and accountability, and  we challenge the APC to provide proof of their allegations or retract their statement.

” The Abbas led APC’s stock in trade is diversionary, designed to set the people of Kano who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the palliatives against the government with ultimate target to create unnecessary tension and confusion.”

“No doubt, our government remains committed to the welfare of the people of Kano state, and we will not be deterred by the APC’s baseless accusations. They will no succeed. We will continue to work tirelessly to support our citizens.”

Sagagi further said, “Kano state government would not be surprised over the frustration of APC Chairman to resort to blackmailing and attempt to misrepresenting fact in other to score cheap publicity.

“We are not unawares that APC is still suffering from the hang over of 2023 governorship election in Kano where NNPP defeated them woefully. Again, the perpetual lost at the supreme Court was another nightmare.

“Instead of the leadership to rethink over their misfortune at the poll, and perhaps seek forgiveness from the good people of Kano for their reckless administration and large scale misappropriation of public funds, they resort to chasing shadows, picking every slight opportunity to back over the media with empty vessels.

“APC would definitely remain saddened that our government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf exposed the massive fraud and fraudulent deduction of workers salary, an heinous act perpetrated by the immediate past administration.

“Today, workers under Kano state Civil Service are pleased to receive 100 percent of their salary. Isn’t that enough shame to APC. Of what moral justification did APC led government had to accuse NNPP of corruption, when their ground scale corrupt cases already pending before the court.

“I am certain APC would not be happy also over the state of emergency declared by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on education having inherited a near collapse system. APC should have buried it’s head in shame for bastardize education system in Kano after siphoned capital allocation meant for the sector.”

” I will urge the public to see through their desperate attempts to discredit the NNPP government and focus on the facts”.

JIBRIN VS DOGUWA. WHEN AN INFANT LOST HIS BEARING

JIBRIN VS DOGUWA. WHEN AN INFANT LOST HIS BEARING

By Shariff Aminu Ahlan

…The tragedy of political irredentist confrontation, where a minor foolishly think he has come of age.

One funny thing about our current and previous democratic dispensation is the way and manner some politicians used their God given opportunity in wearing a toga of high-handedness and arrogance in their dealings, myopically and foolishly think that they can abuse, castigate, humiliate or compare themselves with anyone that dare cross their lines not minding or considering his status or superior personality based on achievements and other accomplishments. To them, every mortal is meant to be crucify because they are wallowing in their temporary abode of current status or position which is vulnerable and can be strip when the next period of elections surface.

This is precisely what raging on in Kano States politics where two powerful political gladiators engrossed in an open war, throwing missiles at each other, all in a bid to prove a point in a battle of political supremacy which was initially triggered by a minor who is seeking for relevance and using the opportunity to impress his newly acquired God father.

I was shocked, dumfounded and livid when I heard Member of the House of Representative Kofa’s diatribe against Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a member Representing Doguwa/Tudun wada federal constituency and House Committee Chairman of Petroleum Down stream. The said politician gathered rented crowd in his constituenty where he performed a dummy and eye saving empowerment program, in which he used the opportunity to castigate and belittled his senior and more experienced House of Representative member by calling him irrelevant and fading politician who used to rigged every election and foolishly called him bloodthirsty in reference to the cleared and court dismissed fabricated allegations of murder and arson during the last election. He went ahead to called him little rat who is confronting his master and more accomplished socalled leader, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and vividly asked him to stop the debacle and confront him instead. Claimed to be the most ideal for the war, as he is his mate and more convenient to engage.

No one can say precisely what triggered the unfortunate scenario. If there is anything Doguwa said to Kwankwaso that may provoke Kofa to uttered such damaging and self convicted remarks against Doguwa was not available in public domain. As such Jibril should have use caution and discipline in his utterances against an individual who is his senior and far ahead of him in every standard, be it politics or any other adventure. His decorum has justifiably failed and has subjected himself to ligation that may consume him in the long run.

Let’s place the warring parties on the pedestal of judgement and scrutiny. To begin with, Alhassan has every right and hold a convincing and undisputable right to call Jibrin’s master and presume God father his mate and equal on the scale of politics. They were in the House of Representative together almost over two decades ago. Doguwa and his boss were elected to represent their various constituency as members where they were there for the first time. As such, they are logically and convincingly a pair of mates who are testing their political might as first times in the said House of Representative where the attacker and uncaged mad dog is there for the second time.

Moreover, Doguwa is presently cleared and discharged by the court of law in regards to the said fabricated and evil concocted charge of murder and arson during the past election. No need to dwell on it as the proceeding and conclusion of the entire saga was open and a common knowledge to all and sundry.

Ironically, the same Kofa was once accused for the same offense of rigging and sponsoring of thugs to unleashed mayhem on electorates in his blindfolded hunger to win election. The incident occurred in 2019 election and till to date Kofa has not been exonerated from the said allegation which led to rerun election and final defeat where the electorate did the needful and sent him parking by voting opposition to the position.

Back to our subject. The said Alhassan Doguwa was known to be a serial winner. He has created a solid and irrevocable bond with people of his constituency not through bullying or use of force, but a remarkable and commendable performances in which he has been providing a dividend of democracy with countless projects and developmental inputs that are glorifying and worthy of emulation.

He has been in the said House for the fifth time in row as such is no match for this toddler that is craving for attention. Known to have held several powerful positions both as principal officer and chairman of several committees. Presently a chairman of committee of Petroleum Down stream. How on earth a novice and attention seeker would compare himself with the said accomplished law maker that is known to be an active member that other lawmakers are tapping from his experience. Comparison my foot!

The attacking mad dog was once a leaper and no one crave to associate himself with him. Let’s recall a time he accused the house of padding and shamefully addressed global media in which he convicted and nailed himself by promising to bring back over three hundred millions he has in his kitty. A grandstanding media hype and outright craving for attention. Making unsubstantiated allegations against his colleagues and failed to bring on board a justifiable and undisputable proofs to backed his senseless and uncalled allegations. It finally led to his suspension from the house and end up pleading and denying his baseless allegations.

How could such personality dares rub shoulders with an accomplished law maker if not for politics that gave room and space for such childish and myopic claims, else how would a toddler graciously used the opportunity to attacked his master and senior in every ramifications ?

I rest my case.

PROTESTS AND RUSSIAN’S SATANIC PLOT…

By Shariff Aminu Ahlan

It’s no longer news that Nigeria is presently awashed with massive protests aimed at venting anger and frustration on the ongoing hardship and frighten high cost of living.

When the idea of taking the path of protest was emanated and subjected to media hype over online media, many concerns citizens raised their voices over the daring consequences of the impending hijack of the expected peaceful protest by some unscrupulous elements ranging from thugs and miscreants who would use the opportunity to vent their evil plots on innocent citizens through massive looting and dangerous clash of rivals groups.

The government officials also raised the fear of infiltration of external forces and bandits that are terrorizing the northern region for years. But no one expected or even visualize that the protests may take a dangerous dimension with frighten sudden appearance of Russian flags and placards bearing write-up such as “Puttin should save us” , “Russia we need u”, “Russia we are dying. Hunger is killing us”, etc, etc.

Who really expects to witness this suicidal demonstrations by our own very people? Our brothers and sisters whom we all know and groom in our midst carrying those flags and placards, blindly raising their voices calling upon the all powerful Russia to intervene? Those misguided protesters didn’t even know what they are craving for. Also not fully abreast with implications of such myopic and suicidal plead.

For sure, there are hidden forces that are sponsoring such misguided and brainwashed youths who are engrossed in such frightening display. Those Russian flags must have been provided before hands prior to the commencement of the tragic protests. Hidden forces who infiltrated our local community and provided those youth with peanuts and engaged them in such deadly display during the ongoing protests. Forces that were expectedly paid huge some by their hidden sponsors who are hidden in their unknown hideout, programing their plots that is sending dangerous signal to the peaceful coexistence of our fragile nation.

The grand plots is meant to send signal to the global community through international media with sole aim of making the world believe that Nigerian citizens are calling upon Russia to save them by intervention and taking over the existing government.

And ironically, some supposed enlightened citizens and uneducated folks are nourishing the idea of welcoming the said call for Russian invention. They foolishly and ignorantly believed hook line and sinker that the coming of Russian would be an ultimate panacea to our problems and expected to bring an end to the current hardship and insecurity ravaging the nation especially northern region.

How wrong they are! The idea is naturally and justifiable interpreted as nothing but suicidal. The invention of Nazi in our land would automatically subjected the entire country to chaos and total demolition through painful occurrences, and the worst part would be an international war that may erupted between the Russian and NATO forces who would not close their eyes and fold their arms while the Russian are having a field day, extending their influence and domination of West African Countries, displaying their most precious catch which would be our highly populated Nigeria. God forbid!

What many failed to understand or even contemplated is the fact that the all powerful United States and it’s NATO allies would do everything possible to ensure such dream didn’t materialize by organizing their deadly and well armed forces to fight Russia and ensure that the Nigeria didn’t follow the path of their neighbouring Nijar. They would ensure that the richly endowed Nigeria was not bequeathed to the power drunk Putin controlled Russia. They won’t hesitate to get involved in deadly war if the need arise to safeguard the country from Russian domination.

And if such frightening scenario occured, who would be at receiving end ? The same populace that were brainwashed to get engrossed in such misguided, misplaced, and suicidal plead. We would then be cycled and entrapped in a deadly battle of supremacy between all Powerful Superpower.

Let us wake up and realize the impending catastrophic that is bigger than banditry and the socalled ravaging hunger. This is bigger than all the ongoing suffering we are craving for solution. A dangerous confrontation can commence in our land that has a devastating consequences. Let us bear in mind that Nigeria is not a special island that is exempted from such occurrences What is happening in other countries can equally happen in Nigeria with even more calamities.

Our fragile peace would be shattered. We may end up been embroidered in a situation that bigger, where dead and chronic hunger would be a common commodity.

The nagging question is; is Russian Putin and his deadly KGB personals behind this frighten plot in our father land? Over to you our sitting government and it’s international allies.
